Compañía Carmela Greco brings the remarkable Carmela Greco, daughter of the renowned José Greco, together with talented and individually unique flamenco dancers and musicians from Spain and the US. Carmela’s career spans decades of choreographing and dancing around the world, and now she has formed a US – based company to continue the Greco legacy where it began. Under Carmela’s direction, the company presents works that blend Spanish dance with innovative choreography – works that range from the refinement and artistry of traditional flamenco dance, to fusions of flamenco palos with other cultures, to modern reincarnations of classical Spanish dance.
